Happy 2nd Birthday

This year for your birthday mom and I got a jumpy bouncy house thingy for your birthday party. The party was a celebration with Jack’s birthday party as well. We invited all your friends from pre-school. Your friends included Maddie, Maddox, and Carter. All three younger siblings of Jack’s friends at the same pre-school.

Happy 2010

it’s a new day and a new year. you and jack are hard at work this morning as mom makes pancakes and i write in this journal. you’ve got a toy leaf blower with brand new batteries. Man, do you love that. you’ve spent the last 20 minutes walking around the house blowing things around on the floor, including a small plastic ball. for some real excitement, later we’ll take out the actual vacuum cleaner and suck up things from the floor. maybe even small plastic balls.

last night for new year’s eve we had our friend lorenzo over for fondue. you enjoyed the chicken, broccoli, and bread. yum. the cheese with white wine was not you your liking, but the ice cream white chocolate sauce for dessert was.

Play-Doh

At the annual Christmas party at The Kinder Learning Academy you received a Play-Doh set with lots of tools to make fun shapes of Doh. I think you’ve played with it every morning and evening since you received it. And usually you require somebody to by your assistant. Former assistants have included Mom, Dad, Jack, Nonna, and Poppa. Next up grammie, gramps, and anybody else who walks through the door.

Most of the time you’re pretending to cook, actually bake, with the Play-Doh because we end up making cookies. Maybe 2010 is the year you discover the Joy of Cooking.

New Words

Cooking, Cookies, Roll Up, Cracker, Elmo (i like how you add an extra -mo to change Elmo to Elmomo), Daddy, Mommy, Jack, Stink (from the “I Stink” book), batteries (for some toy that moves and makes a lot of noise), Kitty, Puppy, Star (shape from the Play-Doh set of tools), Yes, No and of course Eggs (you favorite meal).

And then there’s Bobby. You’re not actually using as the name of a person. Mom and me can’t figure out what you are referring to.
