It’s the first day of 1st grade. The second year of school at Hamagrael. Ms. Jeffers will be teaching you all kinds of new stuff. You look like you’re ready for business. Jack on the other hand is keeping things loose.

And so it begins. It being your formal schooling. But don’t discount your informal schooling. Your teacher this year is Mrs. Fusco. She adores you. Your classmates and her have come to call you T-man. I’m so proud of you. You’re a smart, caring, and especially funny kid. And by the looks of the photo it looks like Jack is excited for you to be at his school too.
Look at those amazing eyeglasses. Looking handsome. Just like your dad. Mom and I have to admit that we should have had your eyes examined earlier. About a year ago you started winking at people. We thought it was part of your humorous personality. Somebody would say something and you would wink. What we didn’t notice was that you were trying to see people’s faces as they were talking to you. We had your eyes examined as part of your preparation for kindergarten in the fall.
I love this picture if Jack being a great big brother by wearing mom’s glasses as an act of solidarity.
