mom read somewhere that babies that point to communicate will learn to speak earlier. we’ll have to wait and see. one thing is for sure, you do know how to communicate without speaking. you’ve got the pointing thing down and you have several sounds that you use for words like “yes,” “no,” “bed,” “outside.” you love to go outside. the first thing you want to do in the morning or when we get home in the evening is go in the backyard to play.
karen’s last day
today was miss karen’s last regular day with you. there were gifts and tears and hugs. you and jack will see her again in the future as we call on her to babysit from time-to-time. she really does love you like a grandmother.

second son and blog is here
as i did with jack i’ve set up a blog for you. so here it is. as i’ve tried to do with jack’s i’ll add postings when i can usually late at night when everybody is asleep as they should be. as i write this first entry you are in your crib crying yourself to sleep. we’ll see how long it takes before your mom or i pick you up.
