This Thanksgiving we took a trip to Nona and Papa’s home in Easton, NY. It’s in the middle of farm country. We saw lots of animals along our drive from the airport in Albany to the house on Beadle Hill Road. You were particularly interested in the cows and sheep. As a Florida native, the only one in our family, you were not impressed with the cold weather. You had everything a body needs to stay warm—the winter coat, hat , mittens, and boots, but you still didn’t want to play outside. It snowed for about 15 minutes one day, so we did see snow flurries during our visit. Of course the highlight of the trip was the vacuum cleaner Nona and Papa gave you. I think Nona was confusing Thanksgiving with Christmas. From the time you opened the gift until we left you were cleaning the house non-stop.
Happy 2nd Birthday
This year for your birthday mom and I got a jumpy bouncy house thingy for your birthday party. The party was a celebration with Jack’s birthday party as well. We invited all your friends from pre-school. Your friends included Maddie, Maddox, and Carter. All three younger siblings of Jack’s friends at the same pre-school.
Happy 2010
it’s a new day and a new year. you and jack are hard at work this morning as mom makes pancakes and i write in this journal. you’ve got a toy leaf blower with brand new batteries. Man, do you love that. you’ve spent the last 20 minutes walking around the house blowing things around on the floor, including a small plastic ball. for some real excitement, later we’ll take out the actual vacuum cleaner and suck up things from the floor. maybe even small plastic balls.
last night for new year’s eve we had our friend lorenzo over for fondue. you enjoyed the chicken, broccoli, and bread. yum. the cheese with white wine was not you your liking, but the ice cream white chocolate sauce for dessert was.
summer vacation 2009
what’s the best part about picking blueberries? dumping them out of the box. at least that was your approach on the blueberry picking adventure with gramps. it wouldn’t be a summer vacation without a trip to the blueberry farm. you also enjoyed playing with your brother at the local playground and sleeping in the same room as him. both you enjoyed this so much that mom and dad moved you into jack’s room when we returned from vacation.

father’s day
thank you tyler for the beautiful painting. nice job with the colors and the fingerprint texture. i look forward to more artwork on many more birthdays, holidays, and special occassions.
