Today we celebrated Father’s Day at Mercy Cares for Kids. You and your classmates made a wonderful breakfast for the dads. We also did some activities to get to know each other better. We answered some questions about when I was your age and my relationship to gramps, my dad.
Happy 5th Birthday
Wow. I can’t believe you’re five years old already. Just like last year you wanted to have your birthday party at home. This year we had a little more space for all your friends and their parents since moving into the new house. Friends in attendance were Sammy, Lucas, Jorda, Abby, Patrick, James, Annie, Eli, and silly Maya. Unfortunately two of your best friends Isabelle and Xavier couldn’t make it this year. The fun activity for this year was stuffing your own plush tiger and making a t-shirt for him.
There’s a funny story about the entertainment for the party. Weeks before your party mom asked you if you wanted to have a magician at the celebration. Jack said he could do and mom said we had a budget to hire a professional magician like you had at your school. You immediately squashed that idea and emphatically announced that you wanted Jack to perform a magic show.
Happy 4th Birthday
A fourth birthday for you. Your mom and I would like to thank you for not choosing to have your birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. That place is crazy. Instead we had a nice, but still crazy, party at the house we are renting from Maggie. A little small for a party full of kids and parents, but we had a good time. The fun activity was painting wooden horses with your friends.
Fall Festival
Mom and I met you at Mercy Care for Kids to celebrate the fall festival. Some people call that Halloween. The event was held outside on the playground. The we’re games and activities. You played on the slide, in the sand, and we made Halloween play-dough shapes with cookie cutters.

Merry Christmas 2010
Another successful Christmas. Santa arrived without incident bringing you an awesome Playmobile Jet plane. Our friend Margot, her mom, Carol, and Lorenzo came for Christmas dinner. Grammie and Gramps were here as well. Other gifts included a stuffed monkey with accompanying blanket and a Olivia tea set.
