We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Tags

“Scratching me!” A common comment from you with most of the clothes you own. Starting with your shirts you wanted the tags cut off because they irritated your neck. One of the benefits of this is that when folding laundry I know whether a shirt is yours or Jackson’s. This quickly transferred to all the tags on all the clothing, like tags on shorts and pants. If you could see a tag you wanted it cut off. In one incident you wanted the tool loop on your carpenter pants cut off. Probably because it looked like a tag sticking out of your pants. Of course, a few months later when you got some carpenter overalls you liked the loop because you figured out that it was for tools.

Merry Christmas 2010

Another successful Christmas. Santa arrived without incident bringing you an awesome Playmobile Jet plane. Our friend Margot, her mom, Carol, and Lorenzo came for Christmas dinner. Grammie and Gramps were here as well. Other gifts included a stuffed monkey with accompanying blanket and a Olivia tea set.

Thanksgiving in New York

This Thanksgiving we took a trip to Nona and Papa’s home in Easton, NY. It’s in the middle of farm country. We saw lots of animals along our drive from the airport in Albany to the house on Beadle Hill Road. You were particularly interested in the cows and sheep. As a Florida native, the only one in our family, you were not impressed with the cold weather. You had everything a body needs to stay warm—the winter coat, hat , mittens, and boots, but you still didn’t want to play outside. It snowed for about 15 minutes one day, so we did see snow flurries during our visit. Of course the highlight of the trip was the vacuum cleaner Nona and Papa gave you. I think Nona was confusing Thanksgiving with Christmas. From the time you opened the gift until we left you were cleaning the house non-stop.

First Day as the Big Boy

Today was your first day as one of the big kids at pre-school. Starting today you are to bring your backpack to and from school everyday. Your teacher, Janelle, has all the older kids do this as training for kindergarten. As we’ve come to find out this is a little different where Jack goes to school. He brings his backpack home but it doesn’t have school supplies in it. It has the “Communication Binder.” You on the other hand have a monkey-on-wheels backpack full of school supplies (crayons, glue stick, folder).
