just the other day you started taking music lessons on friday mornings. your routine with mom on fridays is you drop off jack at school, go grocery shopping, and then you head off to music class. by mom’s account you really enjoy the lessons. you love the songs and playing the sticks, drums, and bouncing along while mom sings. of course mom had to learn the songs and i still don’t know them. maybe you’ll teach them to me someday. during the free time you get up and play with the toys and the other kids in the class.
summer vacation 2009
what’s the best part about picking blueberries? dumping them out of the box. at least that was your approach on the blueberry picking adventure with gramps. it wouldn’t be a summer vacation without a trip to the blueberry farm. you also enjoyed playing with your brother at the local playground and sleeping in the same room as him. both you enjoyed this so much that mom and dad moved you into jack’s room when we returned from vacation.

you weren’t feeling all that well on this day so you stayed home with me. the picture below was taken when we got home from taking jack to school. i pulled into the driveway sideways so i could work in the garage as you slept in the car. it turns out that you had a little fever for a couple of days. nothing big. some rest and you were fine.

first time at the water park
there’s nothing you enjoy more than being naked and playing in the water—at bath time and in the backyard. the other day we went to the water park and although you didn’t get to take off your clothes you had a great time. after your introduction to the ymca water park we had a picnic in the nearby playground. you and jack ran all around the playground going from climbing things to swinging. you must have played hard because you fell asleep on the drive home.
